I don't think Joed or Jormundur are good enough, and Joed will be busy trying to hatch a plan to get the green egg back.

My thoery for Nasuada is that she will get together with Orrin then he will die and so will she and Joed will then take over the varden but will be abit like brom and go off then die trying to get the green dragon egg and then Elva will be leader.

hmm...possibly, but I think Roran could die, so that wouldn't work out!

I like that idea that Roran might lead the Varden...I think that that's highly possible. And besides, I really don't think he'll die.

i came to the conclution that if nasuada dies it will be roran that leads varden or maybe roran will be king if galbatorix dies idk i hope nasuada lives though i like her character

Domia, it's called marketing. Those greedy publishers want to make as much money possible out of this book, and they want more time to advertise for the book. And I also suspect that they enjoy tormenting us....
Anywho, Nasuada will fall in love with Eragon in this book, and continue leading the Varden. She wont become the green rider until book four.... or maybe late in Brisingr, idk.
