i think somewhere the rock of kuthian was mentioned being close to the ocean but im not sure..............

anyway, if not it is probably on the continent that palancar and the other humans came from,

i changed my mind, i think that the vault of souls was something made by theoriginal Eragon on vroengard (for those of you who don't remember thats the riders place) just for himself but that any rider named eragon can open it

Yes i love my avatar. I think that It has something to do with true names. So eragon would have to speak his TRUE name to the vault of souls to open it.

woah, i just thought of this, remember the 7 words that Brom told Eragon? I origionly thought it was the name of the ancient language, but what if it was the names of the 7 remaining dragons of the forsworn, and the vault of souls is where galbatorix keeps the dragons heart of hearts, and you had to say the dragons anmes to open it? Brom would know because he grew up with, and killed many of them. Also, i believe galbatorix knows the ancient languages true name, because the dying razac tells eragon this quote: "he hassssss learned the name, the name, the name........."
