Thank you, Neo, that's what I was thinking. I can call you that, right? Anyways, Eragon will have to marry the next rider, which is why it must be a female. When the dragon gets a bit older, he'll have to fall in love with Saphira, mate, then she'll have a much needed egg. When the dragons fall in love, their Riders will fall in love as well, because of the mental link. Since Arya isn't going to marry Eragon, it must be Nasuada, unless Roran dies, in which case it could be Katrina, that that is unlikely. (That was a really bad run on sentence....)

As to the instances that a human/elf couple was married: almost all of them ended in tragedy. Besides, If Arya wanted to marry Eragon, why would she always push him away and reject him when he was proclaiming his love for her?
