Next Dragonrider

Who will be the next Dragonrider? Roran? Arya? Katrina???? Will the egg even hatch? Make you choices here!

Hey i am pretty sure the next dragon rider will be Roran because he is the most likely, i think for the role as dragon rider, his character has grown thought out the books(especially in the second) and i think there is alot of focus on him in the second book which i think hints towards him being the next dragon rider.

I voted for Arya, but, you never know. It is probablly going to shock us all.

It'll be Nasuada. She, as the leader of the Varden, would have access to it when Eragon rescues it from Helgrind. Also, she seems intrigued by magic. One other very important thing that not many people find important is the fact that we read from her point of view in Eldest. So we already know quite a bit about her thoughts and character.

Again i like your reasoning and fair enough i agree it would answer alot like why we she her point of view in Eldest i also mentioned about seeing it in Rorans point of veiw so i suppose it is right to think about the fact some is set in Nasuada's veiw point.

I agree. But as to Roran's story, I think we had to know that. He couldn't just show up at the final battle in Eldest and say "Oh, by the way, Eragon, I escaped from the Ra'zac who tried to kill me and the rest of Carvahall, and also, Katrina got captured by them, and we're engaged." But I think that Nasuada could say "Orrin is kinda quirky and I'm funding the Varden with lace" and then Angela could tell him about Elva, or Eragon could see her himself.
So, I think that the main point of seeing through Nasuada's eyes is to introduce us to her on a deeper level than what Eragon sees, and to possibly hint about her becoming the next DR.

Yes i agree. But you have to admit it would be rather funny if that did happen, Roran says "Oh yer by the way i been sailing for the past month or so after escaping the raz'zak and about 30 empire soldiers and Katrina has been captured!" xD

I think Roran will not be the next dragon rider. I'm pretty confident he will have to represent a sort of mundane commoner who takes matters into his own hands. I think that the next dragon rider will be someone we don't know yet, but that's just me......

It will be Arya. Now i think about it, it has to be just think about the dream Eragon had with the boat, seriously go read it. The too tall people holding hands are Eragon and Arya and the two dragons in the sky are the green dragon and saphira and then person crying on the shore is Roran because he has nothing left, because katrina is dead.

I think that it'll be Nasuada, and if it's not her it'll have to be Arya.... *sigh*

Who voted that the egg wouldn't hatch? It has to! Eragon couldn't defeat Murtagh AND Galbatorix alone!

Yer he could maybe Galby gets killed by like someone else on the sly like Oromis or somthing and thats how he dies and then Murtagh and Eragon have a fight and Murtagh gets caught out by elven mage people.

No, I think that Galby has to be killed by Eragon. I think that he'll get plenty of help from Saphira, Nasuada, and Shrukan (sp?), but he'll be the one to deliver the final blow.

Eragon will kill Galby, and Shruikan will die due to his death. She (or he?) won't go to the good side, I just know it! I'm working on fan fiction about Shruikan being female. It's my magnum opus!

Hey, isn't there another section that's pretty much exactly the same under one of the book's sub-forums (either Brisinger or the 4th book sections)?

Listen i know Arya will be the next dragon rider because Eragon has a dream in the first book that a man and a woman are boarding a boat (i.g. Eragon and
Arya) and a man is crying in anguish on the shore(rhoan). There are two dragons fling in the direction where the boat will sail over the ocean(i.g. Saphira and the new dragon)

The dragon would belong to Arya because it is fling with Saphira and Eragon and Aryta are boarding a boat together symbolizing love, or a connection of some sort.

NO WE'RE NOT. I think that if Arya becomes the Rider, she'll die. But it's unlikly that she'll become a DR at all.
