Is the stuff in ep. 7 true ???

Is the stuff about EHQ partnering with Shur'tugal true? I just re listened to that episode, and I was curious.

I mean, about thing where Matt might switch podcasts for one episode? That'd be really cool, but I think that part isn't true anymore. That's mostly what I'm wondering about.

Yeah about that... Mike Macauly (owner of Shurtugal) and I were in contact for 2 weeks over the summer, but I haven't heard anything from him since... At that point of time I think he was really thinking about starting Shurtycast again (before Brisingr), but he somehow failed to do that. Its unfortunate what happened, but also he said EHQ could affiliate with Shurtugal. However I now realize we don't really need the affiliation seeing as EHQ was one of the only constantly updated website/podcast before Brisingr. Sure there are a lot of other sites, but none really have the dedication and content that we do. All we still have yet to do is be recognized as a top site by Alagaesia.com . We certainly deserve it, its just we haven't had much recognition yet. We filled the void while Shurtugal lay stagnant and I do think that we were on top.

To get back on top you need another admin to help you or you need to get busy with news and new episodes.

I think the podcast has helped EHQ gain popularity which was a good move on Matt's part.

Yes. Even if the podcast is kinda... *wipes tear from eye* dying... it was really good while it lasted, and it drew people to the forum.

Anyways, Shurtugal is making huge updates. I am very happy about that because I really like Shurty, but EHQ is much more of my home for all things Eragon, and I think that Shurty's renovations will attract people to them and decrease EHQ's popularity. I don't mean that one day Sam, Jack, and Peter are just going to delete their accounts and move to Shurtugal AT ALL. I just mean that when people are looking for an Eragon site, they'll find Shurty and won't really take the time to delve into all of EHQ's more subtle wonders. I mean, the forum is sooo great and many of us are like family. So it's okay if we don't suddenly have 1 billion visitors. That would be cool, but I'm happy with EHQ.

ok, thanks. And thanks for the reply matt. I really hope saphiracast comes back, and zeb I know what you mean abobut this forum. A great forum has just the right balence of serious members, funny members, annoying members, funny topics, real topics, admins, moderators, and emotocons to be perfect. Trust me, I've been to a lot of forums, and this is amoung the best

no, no, you need them to make the forum compleate. Really, and don't think i don't know this. I'm a mod on MMGames, a forum with loads of serious, funny and annoyying members, and, although you need to edit the bad members, you need them to give their insights into your forum, and it makes it interesting, and overall improves it.

EDIT: yes, I thought it didn't work (my interned stopped working) and he wasn't on whe i pmed you, so I accedentally pmed you both.

I ma just amazed at this site! I wish that matt was on more, I really think he should give zeb full admin access. THen he could change the look of the forum, add stuff, and all thst cool stuff. I like being a mod... even if it's not here, it's cool (i just needed to say that, it's fun being a mod isn't it, then noobs look up to you)
