| Solombum didn't say under the TREE, he said under the ROOTS. Here's my theory: In "Eldest" it was mentioned that some old elf families still had Rider's swords. I think that maybe Solumbum meant the FAMILY roots of the elf named Menoa (she was an elf before she became a tree). They could have kept Brom's old sword. If Eragon really is Brom's son, it would be his INHERITENCE, wouldn't it? | |

That is one awesome theory, BUT Eragon Cant be Broms son Murtagh said that Morzan is Eragons father in the ancient language, that language no one can lie in soooo Eragon - Brom arnt related. The thing about the roots of the family tree is an amazing theory and one i think could be right. Atra esterní ono thelduin Mor'ranr lífa unin hjarta onr Un du evarínya ono varda

| According to that logic, Nelly, the weapon could be kept by an ancestor or relative of the Menoa tree. Crazy, Huh? | |

Maybe the smith and the girl who stole the man are the same. Maybe that's why she's so antisocial. Maybe she's so sad about him dying that she doesn't want her heart broken again. Maybe.

| I'm tellin' you, he'll INHERIT Brom's sword. And it'll be blue and match Saphira's scales. I bet that the other Saphira's scales were blue too. I mean, SAPHIRA sounds like SAPHIRE, which is a blue gemstone. | |

Good! Nelly may at last see reason! About the sword, do y'all think that it will literally be under the tree, or through the family roots, like me?

| comPLETELY random theory, but I think that there is a crystal and/or diamond cave under the menoa tree with LOADS of energy stored in it from dead forms(Vault of Souls?). But, anyways, it's probably not right. I just like throwing my ridiculous theories int the fray. (hmm, fray...I like that word...) | |

| well i believe that under the menoa tree is broms sword because it said he lost his sword and this works in with the theory of eragon being broms father | |

| I think it's either an awesome long lost blue elven sword, his/enemy's(Galby, perhaps?) true name, or...The vault of Souls! | |

| *gasp!* Eragon5217! Are you feeling okay?! You are actually trying to get people to stay on topic!! *tears of joy come to eyes* maybe all of this trying to make him obey the rules has finally done somthing! YAY!!!! *cough* yes, anyways..... my thoughts exactly. Eragon will get Brom's sword (his INHERITANCE, by the way, since he's Brom's son) from an elf in Brisingr. And it'll be blue and AWESOME! | |
